Lachie Bruce - Principal Physiotherapist
Lachie founded Allura Health with the prospects to create a space for clients of all abilities to achieve their rehabilitation goals. He focuses on a patient centred treatment plan for clients with musculoskeletal injuries, biomechanical in-balances and neurological rehabilitation. Lachie has had the fortunate opportunity to work with various athletes off all ages from a variety of sports, ranging from Nutri-Grain Ironman to professional football players and both State and Australian representatives in swimming, surf-lifesaving, running and triathlons. Although he works with some of Australia’s top athlete’s he hopes to bring the same treatment plans to his clients within the Northern Beaches community. He currently works in the Allura Health rooms and in the pool providing both physiotherapy and aquatic physiotherapy services to clients with chronic pain, acute injuries and neurological deficits. When he is not treating, Lachie can be found spending far too much time at the beach. He hopes to help guide you on your pathway to thrive and be pain free.
Adelaide Coghlan - Senior Physiotherapist
Adelaide is a local to the Northern Beaches where she grew up spending her time in the dance studio or the water. In 2015 Adelaide graduated from ACU with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Whilst studying at uni, she travelled globally with Nitro Circus as sports trainer and assistant physio and once graduated was also one of their touring Physiotherapists looking after Athletes and crew. Adelaide has a keen interest in women’s health and studied at the Women’s Health Training Association (WHTA), completing the level 1 training in Women’s Health Physiotherapy. She has used this training to support many women in their movement journey’s both pre and post natal. Being a mum of 3 (including a set of twins), Adelaide understands the changes and stressors the body undergoes to grow and raise little people, and loves sharing her knowledge and experiences with women to help them achieve healthy movement during this time. Adelaide is also a trained Pilates instructor working both clinically 1:1, and in small and large group fitness settings assisting people to improve their strength, fitness and mobility. Adelaide loves to move, loves to help people feel good, and looks forward to working with you towards your individual goals.
FUN FACT: Adelaide danced professionally overseas for many years after high school, and used to dance in a swimming pool with pythons in Paris!
Clare Robertson - Physiotherapist
Clare completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Port Macquarie. After graduating, Clare made the move back to Sydney to work within the hospital setting, gaining experience in both metropolitan and rural healthcare. There she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, including those with neurological conditions, orthopaedic injuries and cardiorespiratory problems. Clare brings with her experience working with acute and chronic conditions.
Clare strongly believes in empowering and motivating each client to take control of their health and wellbeing. Taking a patient centred approach, Clare works closely with her clients and other health professionals to ensure the delivery of holistic care.
Clare is passionate about neurological rehabilitation and general musculoskeletal conditions, including sporting injuries and biomechanical deficits. With a keen interest in understanding the biomechanics of human movement and optimising performance, Clare offers tailored post operative, falls prevention, general strengthening, return-to-sport, and neurological rehabilitation programs. Clare works closely with each client to establish individualised goals allowing for accountability, motivation, and tracking progress.
When Clare isn’t at work you’ll likely find her somewhere near the water. With a background in elite competitive swimming, Clare has a strong understanding of movement in the water. Clare brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the Allura Health program, incorporating unique swimming principles to continually progress and challenge clients on land and in the water.
Clare lives an active lifestyle, enjoying walks, social sport, going to the gym and jumping in the pool for a swim. With balance in mind, Clare also loves a lazy Sunday watching movies or looking for the next best restaurant - all recommendations welcome!
